Best Padilla I've ever hadOver the years I've tried most of the Padilla cigars that were sold. While they were usually decent, not one called on me to buy more.
I bought a few of the six cigar samplers of these. I've smoked a robustos and a Toro literally within hours of delivery.
This cigar to me is easily the best tasting Padilla I've ever tried. The cigar is great looking with a dark and oily San Andres wrapper. It's very well made, solid and uniform throughout. The draw and burn are exceptionally outstanding.
My first thought was this is a very tasty cigar, but I wish there was a bit more spice. As I smoked it, the variety of flavors was impressive as heck. There's this sweetness from the wrapper combined with a nice subtle spice. TBH, it's got a very complex flavor profile to my taste buds. So much so, that it rises to Dion Gialitto levels, IMO. He blends the Illusione line of cigars. IMO he's the only guy that delivers a certain level of complexity of flavor in almost every cigar I've smoked from him. Well friends, I've been smoking cigars on a daily basis for 40 years plus. This Padilla rises right up to Dion level in the flavor profile. I am blown away by this cigar given that I smoked a few fresh off the truck. My experience tells me with just a few months aging this will be even more outstanding.
This is right there with the best $15 to $20 cigars I've smoked and in many if not most cases, better. The cigar is perfectly balanced and never gets bitter or hot right down to the nub. I'm giving it a solid 4 1/2 stars. I'd describe it as one of the tastiest medium bodied Maduro cigars I've smoked in many years. I would have never even thought to try these TBH. Someone at CP who I have a ton of respect for recommend that I give them a shot. He described them to me exactly as they are. I sure wish I would have bought a lot more on the deal.

The San Andres is highly recommend and is one of the best Maduro cigars I've had this year along with the Penn Standard.
