Gorgeous but lacks flavorWhen these arrived I was super excited to try them. They're beautiful cigars with a medium brown oily wrapper with slight gold and reddish hues. Very well made as in super solid roll and uniform. The draw is great as is the burn. I don't think I've smoked a cigar this year that had a tighter ash. The ash refused to leave the cigar at 2" in. I had to give it a little extra tap in the Stinky Ashtray when ashing it. For some reason, that impresses me.
The flavor profile on these is hard for me to define. I got a slightly sour note in the first third. Thankfully, that went away as I smoked into the Toro. The flavor I did get was kind of monotone to my taste. Not unpleasant by any means, just not interesting to me.
The cigar is good right down to the nub. I'd describe it as medium to slightly plus bodied. I'm quite sure there will be many who enjoy this Reserva. I like a bigger variety of flavor in my cigars. I think I need to try a few more sizes before dismissing this.
I'm giving it a solid just under 4 stars. The world class construction of this one is impressive. I need to age some for a few months and come back to it. However if you're a Maduro fan, Padilla's San Andres is a must try.

Fantastic flavor
The cigar smoke so very nicely, and have a very very light draw to give you plumes of smoke. Had a cracked wrapper. Assuming it’s from shipping (the risks we take for deals), but overall great smoking experience with these.

unsung beaut
This cigar sampler I picked up on a whim because i use to like the old 1932’s. Other Padillas I could live without. I smoked the toro tonight out of this sampler. It was stunning. That may be an understatement. Notes of wood and caramel before I even looked at others reviews. This is a nice, nice cigar for $10-14 each and I got a sampler at just over $3 each. Unreal find.
