From Honduras with fillers from Nicaragua, Honduras, and the Dominican with a Nicaraguan binder and an Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper. Notes of cream, dark chocolate, wood, and coffee. Med-Full.

“Like a Champ!”
I’ve had this cigar resting in my humidor (unwrapped) since February, followed by a further three weeks in my cigar jar to dry age slightly before smoking. I’ve been looking forward to this one—especially given the praise around this very affordable yet high-quality stick, featuring a blend of Nicaraguan, Honduran, and Dominican Republic tobaccos.
1st Third:
A very mild and pleasant start—instantly reminiscent of the Oliva Connecticut. A solid opening with nothing overwhelming or unexpected. That said, it’s not lacking in flavour. Right away, I picked up slight nutty overtones, mild cedar, all coated in lashings of cream. The smoke felt exceptionally light on the palate. Construction is superb—there’s a satisfying heft and firmness to the cigar.
Transition:
An overall mellow experience continues. Hints of vanilla begin to emerge, with cedar becoming more pronounced. I did have to massage the cigar slightly as the draw became a bit obstructed, but after some gentle persuasion, it corrected itself nicely.
Coda:
Still very mild, with no major shift in strength or flavour. Unassuming, but consistently pleasant and easygoing.
Footnote:
The nub revealed a touch of mild spice—almonds and white pepper came through, still wrapped in that creamy profile. Delicious.
