Villa Vieja Green

SKU: KS-VVG

Just washed up on the sunny Cigar Page shores is a pallet of these lookers from Nicaragua. It was like cracking open an ice cold can of fortuitousness and goes by the name of Villa Vieja. The name means 'Old Town,' and it's what the locals sometimes call the town of Esteli, which is donde esta hecho a mano, my man. Roughly translated, it's a cool name, good looking bands, great looking cigars.... so it looks the part. How they got here no one knows. But some light research reveals that, like Hasselhof hisself, Villa Vieja is tres popular in Europe. It's a closeout, and no one knows much about it other than it was apparently made by both Aganorsa and Raymond Pages at various points, although more recently by Raymond.

Upon closer inspection, this Villa Vieja is a solid and handsome looking number, sporting an Habano wrapper from Jalapa, oily and dark brown, along with Nicaraguan long-fillers. We've fired these up and they are medium to full in body with surprising amount of nice complexity. Stellar and steady, downright good smokes with notes of nuts and earth, complemented by a touch of cedar on the finish.
