Outstanding cigars, a tad inconsistent
At the suggestion of the lads I hang with in our little forum, I bought a bundle of the Silver Label Toros. After smoking a few, I bought a total of 5 more bundles of the Toros and a box of Gordos.
These are very well made and great looking. The wrappers vary in color from medium to super dark. I find I need to cut them a little further down than normally to get a great draw, that's no biggie. These are loaded with tons of very rich flavor. Dark chocolate, espresso, a floral note, and oh yeah, some amazing, but very pleasant spice. They smoke very well albeit at a slightly quicker pace than Nica's. I attribute this to the Honduran Tobacco used in the blend. The flavor profile from cigar to cigar can vary more than i'm used to, but none have been less than tasty. The best of them have been super tasty.
The real bonus here, aside from the CP pricing is the fact that these have been aged for a few extra years. This equates to smoking a really tasty smoke with absolutely no rough edges or harsh patches. Mine have been dated May 2021 and Nov 2021. To my taste, the super dark wrapped version have been the best tasting examples. Even then, the not so dark versions are tasty smokes as well. I highly recommend these to anyone who enjoys a cigar packed with great flavors but not overloaded with Vitamin N. Only 4 stars due to slight inconsistency. I'll tell ya what though, let's add a half star for Dapage's great prices on these aged gems.
