Diamond in the rough
Must be put in a humidor for a week minimum. The longer the better, construction is phenomenal can smoke most of it without ashing, Nice even burn. Cedar encases a few tastes earthy, hint of chocolate slight nutty flavor. Consistent through out. Id say cud pass for a $6-8 stick once it's ready.

Good with time
Had these come in around the end of July, were spicy on the palate, and retro, I thought I had bought something I wouldn’t like and was stuck with them. I let them sit in my humidor until September, tried it again, and was pleasantly surprised! Time in the humidor smoothed out the spice on the palate, and the retro didn't feel like I was burning my nose hairs. I am excited to see what more time in the humidor will do. Solid value, they do not look like seconds, nor do they smoke like seconds. Lots of smoke and good construction.

Jury is still out on these for me, promising though
I bought a tenner of the Habano Gordo's. Great looking cigar for sure. The wrapper is really an impressive looking mid brown with golden hues. The oily sheen is obvious too. Really well made with a good solid density of filler tobacco. Smooth and uniform feel in the hand. The draw and burn were both excellent. The flavor profile or lack thereof is why I'm not sure about these. The cigar seems to want to lean medium plus with a nice amount of spicy flavor. There's plenty of thick smoke, but what starts out as a promising flavor profile gets pretty thin, quickly. I've only smoked a few, so my review may be premature. I will say that for a supposed 2nd, the look and feel of this cigar screams high quality to me. I'm going to let the rest settle in the humidor to see if the flavor profile resolves. For now a solid 3 1/2 stars, with potential to get to 4 or 4 1/2. For those who favor a lighter medium cigar, these would be a good choice as they are. Will update in several months. I like the price and the quality, just hoped for a little more flavor wise.

La Palina Habano 2nd's
Love this cigar, best bang for your buck. I have bought a dozen or so bundles of these in the last 8 months. I smoke 2-4 cigars a day depending on the weather, this is my favorite. Hope they never run out of these.
