L'Atelier Surrogates

Don’t let the name fool you these cigars are not substitutes. They burst onto the scene back in 2012 under the L’Atelier Imports branding. Hand-blended by Pete Johnson and the rest of the L’Atelier team. This premium line of cigars are made at the My Father factory in Esteli, Nicaragua. Each vitola has its own unique character. The tagline for Surrogates is “Limited-Edition Quality at an Everyday Price.”

Tramp Stamp: Ecuadorian Habano Oscuro wrapper, Nicaraguan long-fillers with a covered foot. Notes of coffee, nutmeg, and slight hint of white chocolate. Medium-bodied. 

Big Ten: Ecuadorian Habano Rosado Oscuro wrapper atop Nicaraguan binders and long-fillers, expect lots of hearty flavor from this medium to full-bodied Nicaraguan gem.

Skull Breaker: Dark Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper over-top of Nicaraguan long-fillers. Notes of espresso, black pepper, and leather. Full-bodied.

Bone Crusher: Dark Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper over-top of Nicaraguan long-fillers. Notes of earth, and leather with a subtle hint of pepper. Full-bodied.

Crystal Baller: 91-Rated. Features an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper, and Nicaraguan long-fillers with a box-pressed finish. Notes of cedar, and cocoa. Medium to full-bodied.

Eight Baller: Features an Connecticut broadleaf maduro wrapper, and Nicaraguan long-fillers with a box-pressed finish. Notes of bread, nuts, and cocoa. Medium to full-bodied.

Satin Glove: 90-Rated. Features a Mexican San Andres wrapper draped over top of Nicaraguan long-fillers. With a beautiful box-pressed finish. Notes of cocoa, and black pepper. Medium to full-bodied.

Animal Cracker: Ecuadorian Habano Oscuro wrapper, Nicaraguan long-fillers. Notes of coffee and chocolate. Medium-bodied.
