A nice treatI know Gurkha catches a lot of flack from the aficionados and floods the market with a ridiculous barrage of indescribable products, but these are very nice. I got 20 of the torpedos and love the rich but smooth profile. Good slow burner with plenty of smoke and lots of earthy flavors. I've found that I needed to cut them a little higher on the taper than I might with other torpedos to get the best draw, as the roll of slightly tight, but with that adjustment they're really good.

Between the Robusto and Churchill, I'd deffinately say the Robusto is the more enjoyable stick. For some reason, the Churchill wasn't quite as smooth and more notable, the cigar's construction seemed spongier and the draw was much too loose throughout the bundle. I wasn't expecting that but, I guess it again affirms that for a given blend, vitola matters.

Gurkha Nicaragua Edicion Exclusiva Maduro in Robusto
Flavorful! Smooth and, a dominately peppery stick done absolutely right! It's spicey but nicely smooth w/o the bite or harshness that often comes with this type of stick....which I'm usually not a fan of. I suspect the 50 ring gauge of the Churchhill would be even better so, I've ordered those. Justifiably high expections from the Churhhilll vitola, I'll report back......
