The Black Swan series is heating up! Introducing the third installment, hailing from the talented hands of legendary Ernesto Perez-Carrillo. Black Swan is designed to take advantage of unique tobaccos at a given factory. It’s the fruit of our team on the ground in Nicaragua and beyond, always seeking out unique tobaccos in bodegas that have yet to find their way into a cigar. In its simplest form, tobacco is a commodity, and factories either grow and/or purchase materials in large lots to maintain consistency in their iconic blends and brands. The result of this pattern means there are inevitably unique, small-batch tobaccos lumped in that are too small to make a full-time production blend, and such tobaccos are typically stored away for aging. They may emerge for special limited-edition projects or accumulate over time, depending on the factory. Black Swan is so named to take advantage of these exceptional but limited tobacco lots.

Enter Ernesto — a name that needs little introduction. His legacy spans decades, starting with La Gloria Cubana, from Miami and the Dominican Republic, with blends that revolutionized how cigar smokers think about flavor and full-bodied blends. From a key figure of the 1990s cigar boom to launching EP Carrillo cigars, including multiple Cigar of the Year accolades along the way. His calling card is masterful blending, complexity, and balance, and in many ways he epitomizes the boutique handmade cigar industry. Now, EPC joins the Black Swan ranks, bringing his signature artistry to the series.

This beauty is crafted in the Dominican Republic and boasts a gorgeous Ecuadorian Habano wrapper which is a dark, deep-hued, slightly oily leaf that crackles with rich spicy flavor. Beneath, its blend of Dominican, Nicaraguan, and Connecticut Broadleaf long-fillers is held together by a hearty San Andrés binder, delivering an indulgent, complex smoke. It's a medium to full-bodied masterpiece, teeming with layers of earth, natural sweetness and dark coffee that evolve throughout the burn.
