5.5” x 50 heavy box pressed flat smoke making for a great mouthfeel along like a wide Lancero. Starting off with a blast of cedar, charred oak, burnt sugar and sweetened light coffee. Sharp spicy retro. First third was a nice sharp barnyard/smokehouse with a rounded hint of hazelnut/Nutella. Retro is rolling the edge out and savory. Second third it’s rounding out quite nicely with a grassy/fresh hay note washing into a leather/earth with some cream and sweetened light coffee. Retro is buttery creamy with slight coffee/burnt sugar. Final third is bringing out sharp immediate notes of long cut chewing tobacco, and smoked meats giving way to a savory creamy baked bread, cinnamon and ginger with a nice long finish of salted dried meat and smoke cured leather. Getting into the nub it is burning a tad hot and has gotten a little harsher but not enough to call it quite yet. Chewing on it still brings out baked bread, hazelnut coffee with heavy creamer, super savory rounded notes making me want to go back for more with a pleasantly spicy retro bringing on smokehouse bbq and burnt sugar. Aroma has been pleasant throughout the cigar getting deeper darker and sweeter with notes of sweet soaked chewing tobacco, barbecue sauce.
